MIM 2016: How the Manager Value in an external feed translates to AD manager value

How does MIM handle a manager or reference (like assistant) attribute in a feed?

1. In the feed, you have to define an Anchor attribute, this attribute uniquely defines the identity of the user in the remote directory.
2. The manager field in the feed should contain the anchor value of the manager and not the manager’s display name of any other value.
3. Create a join between the anchor attribute and the person object in the Metaverse.
4. MIM will now take the value of the manager attribute in the feed and dereference the value to the corresponding value in the Metaverse.
