So I am installing WAP on a DMZ server and I am using the WAP configuration wizard, but each time it ends at the same point when it wants to setup the connection to the ADFS server. The message is
Remote server cannot be contacted
I checked the name of the ADFS server that I entered, checked my host file, checked my Windows Firewall, every thing looked good. Except for one thing…Open port 443 between the WAP and ADFS server. By default all ports are closed in the DMZ (via network firewall) to the internal network, so you have to open bidirectional traffic in the firewall. This is a prerequisite step.
Also don’t forget to open traffic on 443 between the outside and the WAP server.
